Thomas is a special favourite of mine, he was structurally very
sound even at nearly 11 years of age as some of these photos
show. Thomas achieved 6 Challenge Certificates, many - all this
in spite of himself - he hated the Show Ring and embarrassed
me many times by his refusal to be 'gone over'. However outside
the show ring Thomas shone - he was spirited and full of fun, he
loved to play with all types of dogs and his temperament is
superb, although sometimes a little reserved with strangers. As a
stud dog Thomas was proven to be strong and effective throwing
some very nice puppies two stayed at Fortress Kennels, Fortress
Who Made Who and NZ Ch Fortress Mercury Rising. Thomas
has nice dark eyes, good jaw, great bone, lay correct movement.
In 2004 Thomas was Best Veteran In Show twice at SIBC
Specialist shows judged by Mr & Mrs Butter of Mindenwood
Boxers UK. Part of Mrs Butters critique says 'Nice head with
expressive twinkling eyes'.
Thomas' personality was expressed in his eyes!
